Greenwich Strolls

I am not sure how I managed to leave the house today let alone shoot my outfit as I was incredibly hungover. Last night I danced the night away at an old friend's wedding, there was a FREE BAR and I went IN. So much wine. Anyway, I made it up and out and ventured to Greenwich wearing an old trusty pair of leggings (needed the elasticated waist for all the hungover food I was about to consume). Do people even still wear leggings? Well, I do because they're comfy AF. And today, I needed major comfort.

I can't believe it's Next ...

When I think of Next I think mum. Sorry but it's true.
However, lately the more and more I am seeing of the brand the less and less that connotation rings true. Right now, they are quite far from being 'mumsy'. Sure, they have their staples, the pieces that are tried and tested and that they're known for, but dig a little deeper and you'll find some pretty awesome 'on trend' gems.

Take this outfit, everything apart from the shirt (a vintage wonder I found in Spain for a mere €1) is Next. Yup, shocker eh. These metallic shoes are not only hot right now but they're insanely comfortable too.

We all know the kick flare is where it's at but skinny jeans for me will always be a trusted favourite and these are just that. So next time you walk past Next have a lil ole wander in and I can guarantee, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Boohoo X Spring Suede

The 70s love affair continues and I continue to slowly embrace it. Spring has seen me cut old flares and hunt out suede pieces that I can put a 2016 spin on and although my era of choice would always be the 90s, the 70s is certainly one I am falling in love with a little bit more each season. So when Boohoo got in touch and asked me to style up a suede/suedette piece from their new collection for spring I was definately intrigued. Their Suedette range is pretty vast but I instantly fell for this lace-up cargo top. The softness of the suedette, styling detail of the lace-up and girlie pink hue had me lusting hard.

So it turns out that I am very much coveting suede for spring, not only that but I am also a pretty big fan of the pink shades that are everywhere this season too. Looks like Spring 2016 is bringing out the lady in me...

My Favourite Button-Up Skirt

I'm sorry, did we just have 4 days off? Bank Holiday weekends, blink and you'll miss 'em. I spent my precious time off in Amsterdam partying with my girls at DGTL Festival and it was absolutely epic. I laughed so hard at basically everything if you know what I mean... ;-)

No blogging took place as it was a crazy few days which left no time for photo shoots by canals or me stepping off kerbs outside the coffee shops. I did, however, snap a few pics which I shared on my Insta if you fancy a nose.

Tonight's outfit is one I shot a few weeks back where I am wearing my favourite button-up skirt from Lindex. A Swedish high-street store that I am hearing more and more about especially now Sienna Miller is fronting their latest campaign. It's a mash-up of H&M, Bershka and Zara and I'm a big fan. Payday, where you at...?

Yes, it's a dressing gown. Can I get away with it?

nightwear trend spring 2016

We all know that this season pyjamas aren't just for the bedroom as our classic nightwear has had a major re-vamp leaving you able to wear them outside the house and it be socially acceptable. I'm not talking about a cartoon-covered, fleece set from Primark, more along the lines of a beautiful silk PJ shirt styled out with a neck scarf and a fitted pair of cropped jeans. Get the idea?

Always one to trial a trend and usually at a fraction of the cost I remembered a certain garment laying dormant in my wardrobe and thought, what if...

Enter my 75p men's dressing gown. I clearly had a vision that Spring 2016 would see fashionistas swapping their daywear for nightwear because I bought this vintage beauty about 5 years ago at my local chazza shop.

I choose last Saturday as the day to don my dressing gown slash kimono and although I quite liked the outcome, I am certain a few passers-by had their reservations. Oh the life of a blogger, eh!

A few things to say/ask to round off this post...

A) Sorry if I look creepy AF in these shots, come to bed eyes? Hmmm, I hope not.

B) Does this look like a 75p dressing gown? Be honest, if so I promise to never leave the house in it again.

C) What is your take on the whole pyjama party trend? There's a high chance you'll rock it better than me.

D) Hugh Hefner? Come on, you were so thinking it too...
