Lifestyle: Borough Market

Hey, hey you lovely lot, hope you have all had a fabulous weekend!

This weekend marks my 1 year anniversary of living in London and I just can't believe how quickly it has flown past.  Without sounding like a total sap I feel truly blessed to have been lucky enough to have met some amazing people who have become firm pals for life.

London has SO much to do and see and moving here really was the best decision I have ever made, it has enabled me to live out my dreams and passions and who can argue with that!

So thank you London, you have my heart - here's to another year of friendship, laughs, hangovers and exploring.

A few weekends ago Carmen and I spent a Saturday mooching around Borough Market enjoying the tasty delights and guzzling on proseco and sangria!
Another perfect Saturday spent in London.

Rokit Vintage Round 2

Say hello to yet ANOTHER vintage outfit that I have added to my wardrobe courtesy of the very fabulous Rokit Vintage.

This lacy dress and waistcoat combo is a bit of a 90s dream; cute but not to girlie, the waistcoat adds an edge and the chunky platforms dress it up a tad - what do you think?  Loving my new Rokit Vintage looks?

Denim and Stripes

Hey Hey. The sun is finally shining in London - yay!
I am super excited about the impending weekend which I mentioned in my previous post,  soz for harping on again but it is my besties engagement party and I am the chief BM so I've got every right to be buzzing! I have also heard she's organised a pretty decent buffet to which, in my books is another excellent reason so get excited.  You'll find me and my crazy flares either propping up the bar or stuffing my face full of sausage rolls  - perfect night out.

Anyhoo enough of parties and food (basically all I talk about if you're a new visitor to ze ol blog) and onto the outfit. The denim button-up is quite a regular staple for me at the moment and as a big off the shoulder fan this top had to come home with me.

In my new role at Endource looking at clothes all day is part and parcel of the job (oh, poor me) which has only heightened the shopping addiction that I already had.
What I am trying to say is that yes I bought this whole outfit via Endource - see ya later paycheck.

Style by Portobello

Today has been a grey and miserable eughhh the perfect weather for a Monday.  Another joyful start to this week is that I am on a major healthy eating kick (FML) the reason being is that I have my best mates engagement party on Saturday and I am wearing some pretty crazy flares and a rather revealing cut-out top so need to be a waif A-SAP.  Let's be honest it's not going to happen is it, I love eating way to much and am out with the girls Wednesday which blates means PIZZA, FFS.  Anyway I am going to do my very best, wish me luck and keep your eyes peeled for the party outfit in question at some point next week!

Now, onto today's post featuring the rather lovely Style by Portobello

This is a subscription site where you sign up and once a month receive a box of vintage treats - pretty cool concept eh!  I was instantly intrigued when they got in touch and following some chatty emails my beautifully-presented subscription box arrived!
I was sent a scarf, a grey beaded necklace and a black and gold belt.  The perfect finishing touches adding a vintage-esque vibe to a high street outfit. Totes up my street.

Soz about the major close-up but it was the only way to get a good scarf shot plus look at that blurry background, got the ultimate 'blogger blur' going on there haven't I!

Anyway, I am signing off! Night guys, have a fabulous week.

Rokit Vintage: A double denim dream

Today has been the day of the tube strike which has been a bit of a nightmare for most commuters, luckily I wasn't massively affected as I can work from home, actually I was rather happy about it all as it meant I could wear PJ's to work and be moments from the fridge.

Tonight is going to be spent chilling which means I can show you all this outfit from last week AND me new barnet!  Yes that's right I have moved over to the dark side and had a hair update, so say hello to my new brunette bob...

This wonderful denim co-ord is from ROKIT VINTAGE, they very kindly let me have a shopping spree in their Camden store which was very much enjoyed because as you all know I am a big vintage lover and their selection is too good!  I spotted this outfit as soon I walked in and knew it was coming home with me, it's a double denim dream isn't it.

Thanks to Rokit Vintage for kitting me out with some of the best vintage garms around and also thanks to the Loreal home dye kit I used for not turning my hair green.

Have a lovely evening guys! See you in my new post.

Floral Co-ord

Hello you lovely lot, have you all had a good week?

Mine has been fab albeit extremely sweaty.  Please don't confuse that sentence as moaning because I love the sun. I love the sun when I am on holiday with a pool metres away, I love the sun at the weekend when I am roof-top drinking, I also love the sun when I can bask in it on lunch-breaks, however, I do not love this heat when I am on the tube...

THE TUBE, my god, I forgot how incredibly, unbearable it is in this heat the central line being the worst, which is of course the line I live on.  This muggy, humid weather is messing with my outfit-planning situ resulting in my most said phase this week - 'What the f*ck am I supposed to wear in this weather' #FirstWorldProblems

So, my heat beating outfits have consisted of limb baring, flowing ensembles which have embarrassingly paved the way for a few Marilyn moments.  I am pretty sure what the blonde bombshell would have been flashing is a lot more toned compared to what is hidden under my new floaty wardrobe *Big sigh - reaches for another handful of kettle chips*

Anyway that's enough of the body hang-up's and tube complaints let's get onto the outfit...

This is another vintage gem snapped up at a chazza shop some years back way before the coord phenomenon had arrived (forefront of fashion ain't I) and if I remember rightly I got a few laughs and granny related comments from it to!
Pffft what do they know, low and behold years later I am on-trend with an old outfit. Hooray! Now that's one way to save the dollar!

If you follow me on INSTAGRAM then you will know I am now a brunette (cheaper upkeep than being a blonde) so these images were shot a couple of weeks back!  I
have been a busy old bee and not had the chance to post them!

Have a fab Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Monday Musing - Festival fashion

Today's Monday Musing is dedicated to outfit prepping for Saturday as I am off to Groove Control in Brixton and I can't bloody wait.  Rokit Vintage recently got in touch and kindly offered to kit me out for the event so yesterday I ventured up to their Camden store and had a dreamy time picking out vintage gems to create the perfect party outfit!

It's not so much a festival, more daytime drinking, on a rooftop, listening to old skool garage but in regards to outfit ideas I am still going to go down the festival fashion route. So with this in mind I picked up outfits all suitable for a festival.  I left the store with patchwork denim, a sheer cover-up, co-ords and some pretty dresses (check out my INSTAGRAM for a sneak peak) so have plenty of fabulous looks to play around with before Saturday.

When I think about planning outfits I always head over to Pinterest to get some inspiration, I look back over previous pins and re-pin new favourite looks so below are a few images I pinned today...
